    This bank was originally located on the SW corner of Belt Line and present Southwestern Blvd. This photo of the sign is looking north/northwest. The small building at the right was Bill Cozby's real estate office. Photo said, "February, 1974." This was not actually the first bank in Coppell.     "February , 1974" Although it's named "First Coppell Bank," it wasn't. The first bank in Coppell was located downtown and went out of business even before the Depression. When this bank moved, it moved across Belt Liine and more south. At one time this bank was owned by Don Carter, Coppell resident, V.P of Home Interiors, and owner of the Mavericks Basketball team.
