Formerly a public park, the area now is private property. Indians may have camped here while meeting with Gen. Sam Houston."

Henry A. Ledbetter, Army, World War II, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Ledbetter, who lived on Ledbetter Road west of Elm Fork. Henry graduated from CHS in 1943, is married to Virginia Smith (CHS 1944 graduate. The reference to "CHS"must mean Carrollton High School. There was no high school in Coppell until 1965. (P.
