From Irving News Record, Oct. 30, 1958. I never heard the name as Gibb, always Gibbs. The date for when the town became Coppell is wrong; it was 1892. This is the only reference I've ever seen of T. J. Harrison. (P. Wilson, resident, 12/25/11)

Was this the drugstore at corner of Bethel & old Coppel Rd. (now Southwestern)? If so, my father Joe Parrish tore it down in the late 1950s or early 60s, also an old bank building. (D. Back of photo said, "W. O. Harrison J.B. Harrison, T.J. Harrison. Businessmen & farmers of early Gibbs which became Coppell." (P. Wilson, resident) W O. Harrison had store in Coppell/Gibbs in early 1900s if not before 1900. He, T.J. & J.B.L. Harrison all lived in Coppell for several years. The other Harrison man went on the Keller, Texas where he stayed until his death. (Lorene Pirkle, born in Coppell, lived until 1973, 10/24/2002)

The November, 1982, Elm Forks Echoes says, "Bertie Harrison, youngest daughter of W. O. and Laura Jemimia Harrison - helped in first Post Office and mercantile store in Coppell - was married twice - to Hatton Ogle and to Buford H. Gordon (1889-1976). She was an honorary member of the Peters Colony Historical Society of Dallas County, Texas when she died in 1980 at the age of 92. (P. Wilson, resident, 12/17/02)
