    From Irving News Record, Oct. 30, 1958. I never heard the name as Gibb, always Gibbs. The date for when the town became Coppell is wrong; it was 1892. This is the only reference I've ever seen of T. J. Harrison. (P. Wilson, resident, 12/25/11)

    David Garrett, at this time, was a Coppell Middle School history teacher, interested in local history & Grapevine Springs Park. Theresa Eby was a life-long resident who owned a chicken farm on Sandy Lake Rd., and who wrote historical articles for Elm Fork Echoes. A photo of the 1928 school accompanied this article.     Newspaper clipping attached to back of photo: Grapevine Tecas, June 12. Last rites for Mrs. Elgie Parr, 74, wil be conducted at the Coppell (Dallas County) Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Grapevine Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Handwill officiate. Mrs. Parr a native of Dallas County, died at her home in Coppell Thursday. She was a member of the Coppell Baptist Church.
