    Peter and Becky Hearn. She is the great-great-granddaughter of George Coppell. They visited Coppell April 13, 2013, for the dedication of Heritge Park. They presented a portrait of Geoge Coppell to the Coppell Historical Society. (P. Wilson, resident, 8/29/13)

  6. 2-257 - Railroad depot showing "Coppell."

    Most likely the depot that changed the town of "Gibbs" to " Coppell." Built 1890 on north Coppell Road, NE corner of that road and railroad tracks - facing tracks. (P. Wilson, resident, 12/08/01) I loved this old depot. I used to walk down the railroad track to school! (D. Parrish Hawley, resident, 7/22/02) I suspect that the above comment by Doris may be in error. This is the original depot. Doris is my age, and by at least 1950, this building...

  7. 2-295 - Coppell railroad depot

    This is apparently a different photo from #257 (barely). Notice sign on left "Cotton Belt Route" and carts on right. The November 1982 Elm Forks Echoes says this was 1889. First railroad agent was Henry Bennett; last was Oscar Cooper. (P. Wilson, resident, 12/1702)

  8. 2-999 - Photo, "George Coppell," oval print, sepia- toned

    George Coppell, from a photo/drawing in a book on businessmen in the NYC Public Library, online. This was the first photo ever found of him, found in 2010. The book was Noble New Yorkers of 1896-1899. (P. Wilson, resident, 11/22/11)
