Title |
Railroad depot showing "Coppell." |
Description |
Most likely the depot that changed the town of "Gibbs" to " Coppell." Built 1890 on north Coppell Road, NE corner of that road and railroad tracks - facing tracks. (P. Wilson, resident, 12/08/01) I loved this old depot. I used to walk down the railroad track to school! (D. Parrish Hawley, resident, 7/22/02) I suspect that the above comment by Doris may be in error. This is the original depot. Doris is my age, and by at least 1950, this building had been torn down and a smaller depot was there. The building she walked past was a 2-room smaller building. (P. Wilson, resident, 12/2010) |
